Why vote for me?

As a Medford City Councilor, I promise to continue leading our community toward solutions in response to the climate crisis.

My name is Curtis Tuden and I'm a lifelong Medford resident as well as a proud graduate of and a dedicated employee in our public schools. In addition, I have enjoyed almost 10 years of volunteering in the community as a member, and current Chairperson, of the City's Energy & Environment Committee.

This November 5th, I'm asking for your vote to become a Medford City Councilor. With your support, our community can elect new representatives that will lead and legislate for a prosperous future.

We are facing a number of ongoing crises that need to be addressed locally, and solutions to these hard problems already exist. In order to bring these solutions to our City, we must turnout on Election Day. Then, when the next generation of Medford City Councilors takes office in 2020, we will see strides toward progressive government that every resident deserves.

The City's most important issues need to be considered with an environmental perspective.

Medford Green New Deal addresses these issues:

Environment

Environmentalism needs to drive our government in response to the climate crisis. I’m thirty-one years old and know my generation’s greatest challenge will be sustaining the Earth while addressing other social issues. I am the only City Council candidate with this essential perspective that will serve to better represent your environmental future. Medford needs a Green New Deal.

Additionally, my career working for Medford Public Schools makes me the ideal advocate for our City’s largest budget item - education. I’ve spent my career helping Medford’s young people find new opportunities and thrive in our schools. With your vote, I will serve all constituents with equal dedication and make public education a priority.
